Mr Vegard Hornnes from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) was awarded with 2023 POAC Best Student Paper Award.ĭuring the conference Institution of Engineers in Scotland also organised a panel on "Modern Lessons from the Pioneer Dyas of Arctic Exploration". Prof Tuhkuri Jukka from Aalto University was awarded with 2023 POAC Founders Lifetime Achievement Award. Two awards were delivered during the conference. 27th International Conference on Port and Ocean Engineering under Arctic Conditions (POAC 2023) was successfully held at our university's Technology and Innovation Centre (TIC) with approximately 120 participants and 85 presentations.ĭuring the three day event, participants had the opportunity to discuss the cutting edge research on port and ocean engineering under arctic conditions.
